Nectar Ballet

A delicate watercolour study of a hummingbird hovering near a branch. The tiny bird’s iridescent feathers shimmer with a rainbow of hues, while its wings are a mere blur of motion. The long, slender beak and bright, inquisitive eye are painted with precision. Soft washes of color in the background suggest out-of-focus flowers, hinting at the bird’s nectar-seeking mission.
